Etihad Airways Takes Uganda Travel Agents to Abu Dhabi

At least 16 top selling Uganda travel consultants were taken to Abu Dhabi the capital of the UAE on a four-day all expense paid trip sponsored by Etihad Airways with the intention of familiarizing them with the best attractions the city has to offer.

Launched on 1 May 2015, search Etihad Airways the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates in partnership with Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority took the travel consultants to Abu Dhabi in abid to get them informed and put them in a better position to advise guests on their travel requirements when visiting or passing through Abu Dhabi

Some of the attractions visited included a tour of Ferrari World, more about the world’s first Ferrari theme park and largest attraction of its kind; a visit to Yas Marina Circuit, online the most exciting sporting and entertainment multi-purpose venue, and home to the annual Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix; and a tour of Emirates Palace, a luxurious hotel that blends Arabian splendour and hospitality to provide its guests with magical and memorable experiences.

The travel consultants were also hosted for lunch at the magnificent Jumeirah at Etihad Towers which, with its iconic sculptural form and spectacular design, provides visitors with a truly exceptional 5-star venue .

“Abu Dhabi has some of the world’s finest tourist attractions and we wanted our partners within the  Uganda travel trade to gain first-hand experience of what the city has to offer, so that they could share it with their customers back in Uganda,”said ToyinAlaran, Etihad Airways’ General Manager, Uganda.

Etihad Airways’ new direct four-times-a-week service between Entebbe and Abu Dhabi is operated by a two-class Airbus A320 aircraft, with 16 Business Class and 120 Economy Class seats, providing business and leisure travellers with convenient onward connections to key destinations in the GCC region, Europe, Indian Subcontinent, North Asia, Southeast Asia and Australia.
