The youngster left the country on Wednesday night aboard a KLM plane and is expected in Iceland later today.
Dhaira’s coach at Soana, ampoule Charles Ayiekoh confirmed the news to this website.
“Yes it’s true that he has left for Iceland. As a club, we did all that was required to help the young boy better his future and wish him well,” Ayiekoh told ChimpSport but could not reveal further details.
“We shall update the public and media on his developments as soon as we get more information but as per now that is all I can confirm.”
Eric Dhaira signed a short deal with Soana FC early in January but has not been featuring for the team due to family issues after losing his elder brother to cancer.
He joined Soana after impressing in the University Football League where he has twice been named the best goalkeeper on top of scooping the trophy.
The former Jinja SS keeper is also a son to former KCC FC and Uganda Cranes international goalie Bright Dhaira.
