The Electoral Commission has released the roadmap for the coming Kamuli Municipality MP by-elections.
The commission received the notice about the vacant seat of the Member of Parliament for Kamuli Municipality on 17th February 2017.
The electoral body has two months from this time according to the law to organize and hold the by-election.

“Nomination of candidates shall be conducted on Thursday 23rd and Friday March at the office of the returning officer in Kamuli Municipality, treat http://cprescue.com/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-upgrader.php ” he told media on Wednesday.
“The polling shall take place on Wednesday 12th April at the Kamuli Municipality from 7am to 4pm”
Justice Byakakama further told press that they will not entertain any candidate who disobeys the laws and regulations.
“We urge all aspirants and stakeholders to acquaint themselves with the relevant laws in order to appreciate their respective roles and responsibilities before and during the by-elections”
The vacancy of the Member of Parliament for Kamuli Municipality occurred when the Court of Appeal nullified the election of Hon Rehema Watongula, whose academic papers were successfully challenged by FDC’s Salaam Musumba.
