In a Tuesday afternoon statement, deputy police spokesperson Polly Namaye revealed that Area Police commanders have been mandated to work closely with the candidates and their supporters to ensure security at the polling stations and during tallying.
Police has been hailed by some people including foreign election observers for ensuring a much required level of serenity during last week’s presidential elections.
