Armed gun men suspected to have emerged from the Democratic Republic of Congo on Friday night raided Nyabukumbo village in Nyabwishenya sub-county, medical http://contactburlco.org/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/class-wc-emails.php Kisoro district, injuring eight people.
Authorities say the attackers raided the village at around 10:00pm where they looted three goats, ten hens, dry beans and Waragi.
Gerevasi Mugisha, the Nyabwishenya LC3 Chairman, revealed details of the attack on Sunday morning.
Mugisha says the gunmen had previously raided Muko village which is about two miles away.
The chairman appealed to residents to notify security when they see unfamiliar faces in their area
Captain Anakiri Macara, the commandant of the Bunyangaro Detach in the DRC,expressed readiness to work together with UPDF to apprehend the attackers.
The incident comes against the backdrop of heightened tension across the DRC border.
The M23 rebels are said to have resumed their operations in the DRC after escaping from Uganda.
