The Uganda Refinery Holding Company Limited (URHC) has appointed Dr Micheal Nkambo Mugerwa as the first General Manager, pharm http://cippico.com/wp/wp-includes/requests/exception.php ChimpReports has learnt.
Dr Mugerwa, http://ceris.ca/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/json-endpoints/class.wpcom-json-api-render-shortcode-endpoint.php a Chemical Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the oil refining industry takes on the mantle to head the URHC, which is a subsidiary of the Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC)
He has vast experience in process engineering, project management, project controls, risk management and oil refinery technologies, among others.
Dr. Mugerwa who has managed Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) aspects of large capital refining projects while working for TECHNIP (USA), a leading EPC contractor for the oil, gas and petrochemical industries will be tasked with leading the structuring and development of the first oil refinery in Uganda.
He holds a PhD, Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, all obtained from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
Announcing his appointment, URHC Board Chairperson, Irene Batebe praised Dr. Mugerwa for his competence in technology and innovation.
“He has built competencies in technology, business and innovation and has experience in start-ups in the oil and gas sector. The URHC will benefit from his leadership, international network and strong technical and project management skills,” said Batebe.
