NRM National Vice Chairperson Al-Hajji Moses Kigongo has warned against insulting non members but instead persuade them to join the party.
Al-Hajji Kigongo was Sunday morning delivering the message from the party National chairman Yoweri Museveni to about 500 PWD delegates at UMA show ground, Lugogo.
The NRM delegates constituting part of the Electoral College came to prepare for the election of their MPs representing the Northern and Western regions. Elections are scheduled for Tuesday July 25 at Public Service College in Jinja.
Kigongo advised that instead of insulting those opposed to NRM, members should preach to them the achievements of the regime so that they find reasons to join them.
He added that respect for each other would create an opportunity to discuss issues of harmony other escalating conflicts or creating enmity.
Kigongo later officially introduced the two NRM flag bearers Dr. Bernard Mayanja (Western) and Joyce Achan (Northern).
NRM Deputy National Treasurer, Dr. Kenneth Omona who represented the SG Justine Kasule Lumumba urged members to vote the flag bearers on Tuesday. Omona said the party has the numbers to win the two seats if they remain focussed on the same cause.
Speaking to the electorates, Achan promised to lobby for special grants from government to benefit members. On his part, Dr. Mayanja promised to work closely with other MPs representing PWDs for the good of the electorates.
The meeting was also attended and addressed by Hon. Lydia Wanyoto, Gabriel Katto and Dr. Hassan Galiwango.
