Don Wanyama Starts Work as Head of Presidential Press Team

Former Daily Monitor Managing Editor, this Don Wanyama has started work at the Country’s number one office – State House.

For the last two days different media houses have been reporting that Wanyama who briefly served as the Communication Assistant at the office of ruling National Resistance Movement party Chairman, President Yoweri Museveni, had been appointed the Press Secretary to substantially replace the controversial Tamale Mirundi.

ChimpReports understands Linda Wamboka Nabusayi, who was elevated to Presidential Press Secretary after Tamale Mirundi’s exit, will maintain her position.

A new slot has been created for Wanyama. He is now the Senior Presidential Press Secretary.

Wanyama confirmed his new title, saying he would start paper work anytime.

“It is true I am now the Senior Presidential Press Secretary and not taken Linda’s position as has been widely reported,” Wanyama said on phone.

When asked on whether he would take up Nabusayi’s office space, Wanyama said it not about the space but the responsibility and service.

“I don’t think it is the office space we should be looking at now. It is about the responsibility I am going to undertake,” he answered.
