Margret Okunyu and the husband were arrested last week. They are accused of attempting to murder a 24 year old woman.
“This court has no jurisdiction to handle your case, you are therefore remanded till December 23, 2015,” the Magistrate advised.
He advised them to apply to the high court for bail.
The Magistrate said the accused committed the offence contrary to section 204 clause (a) and (b) of the penal code act.
Richard Ayo, who shot the victim, was apparently hired by the couple.
The victim fortunately did not pass away but sustained serious injuries and was taken to Lacor hospital in Gulu for medical treatment.
The Uganda police spokesperson Fred Enanga said the offence was commited between the month of January and March, 2013.
The case is registered under CRB 618/2015 and the general inquiry file (GEF) has been opened at the police CIID headquarter number 715/2015.
