Dr. Silver Mugisha has urged all Utility leaders in the country to engage their customers and get feedback if they are going to improve service delivery.
Dr. Mugisha made the call while giving a keynote address on the status of Urban water supply in Uganda during the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers social evening at Golf course Hotel in Kampala.
“You cannot improve what you don’t know. Utility leaders often need to engage their customers, salve http://ceris.ca/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-popup/views/meta-appearance.php stakeholders and the general public to get to get feedback and do better,” said Dr. Mugisha.
He shared the corporation’s ongoing infrastructure service delivery Plans to improve access to safe water and sewerage services in all corners of Uganda including the ongoing water supply stabilization plans to boost water supply in Kampala.
NWSC, in partnership with the Danish government recently launched a project aimed at supplying a total capacity of 135,000million litres per day to Kampala, construction of trunk systems, reservoirs and system booster stations.
The project will also involve improving the current sanitation situation in the South of Kampala by implementing a 400,000litres per day faecal sludge collection and treatment plant in Kajjansi, development of water and sanitation infrastructure in informal settlements located in the South and West of Kampala.
