Crested Crane Set Off to Kenya Ahead of Int’l Friendly

Crested Cranes will play Kenya at the moi stadium in Kisumu

The Uganda Crested Cranes team has set off to the lakeside city of Kisumu in Kenya ready for the upcoming international friendly against the hosts on Sunday 3rd.

Head coach Majidah Nantanda named a squad of 19 players who have travelled with the team.

Denmark-based Natasha Shirazi who features for Ballerupskovlude Foothold BSF was the only foreign based player in the team and has also made the cut.

Seven players from the local league champions Kawempe muslim have made the squad led by top scorer Sandra Nabweteme and most valuable player Hassifa Nassuna.

Uganda will use the match to prepare for the inaugural women CECAFA championships to be hosted in the country around September while the Kenyans are building up for the Africa Women cup of nations in Cameroon later in the year.
