Cranes Set for Malawi Friendly

Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has revealed to the media that the national team is set to play three international build up games against Malawi and two other North African teams which he didn’t disclose.

Namibia will present a good challenge for the Cranes team which will largely comprise players from the national Under-23 team which is preparing for the second preliminary stage of the Caf junior championships against Egypt later on 8th July away.

“We have organized an international build-up match against Malawi national team on 6th of July. We are using the game to prepare for Chan and also the Under-23 game against Egypt, web ” Micho said

He further added, “Two other North African teams have been lined up but we shall inform you later when everything is done.”

Uganda national teams are having two assignments ahead, the Chan second leg qualifier against Tanzania in a week’s time and the Under-23 clash with Egypt in a period of one month.

The national team has so far played two international friendlies recognized by Fifa, beating Nigeria 1-0 away and sharing spoils with Gambia in Kampala.
