Court Releases Former Public Service Officials Accused of Theft

City Hall Court Grade One Magistrate Moses Nabende has granted bail to the former Accounts Assistant in the Ministry of Public Service Samuel Keddi together with Wilberforce Sajja, patient http://ccalliance.org/blog/wp-includes/wp-diff.php a Head teacher at Progressive Primary School and Harriet Galenda of Real Quality Primary School who are charged with stealing 80million shillings from government.

The court released the suspects on a 2 million cash bail, information pills and ordered each of their 9 sureties to pay a non-cash bond of 2 million shillings

The suspects, who were charged and remanded to Luzira on Monday this week; in their bail application claimed to be their families’ bread winners and promised not abscond once they are granted bail.

The trio faces two offences of conspiracy to commit a felony and theft of 80million shillings from the ministry of public service.

Prosecution contends that these between September 2012 and February 2017 conspired to steal the money from the ministry as salaries and benefits for Harriet Galenda, purporting to be a personal assistant to the former Vice President Dr. Specioza Wandira Kazibwe , whereas not.

The case has been adjourned to 19th April 2017 for mention
