Court Orders Kyambogo University to Pay Shs 1.3 Billion to Prof. Ndiege

Former Kyambogo University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Isaiah Omoro Ndiege

Nakawa High Court has ordered Kyambogo University to pay Shs 1.3 billion to its former Vice Chancellor, viagra order Prof.  Isaiah Omoro Ndiege for wrongfully sacking him.

Justice Elizabeth Nahamya ruled that the University violated Ndiege’s rights by refusing to appraise him for five years which would have been a basis against his re-appointment as Vice Chancellor.

The judge also ruled that it was wrong for the University to search for a new Vice Chancellor without first giving him a chance.

Ndiege sued The University for refusing to re-appoint him for the second term yet he had served it for five years since 2009.

Among other issues, Ndiege complained that during his term in office, he was not issued with a assessed report on his performance yet the law states that an officer holding an office of the Vice chancellor in any public university must be assed and issued with a copy of the report  and it is this report that the university administration may base to grant him another term in office.
