Court Orders DNA Test On Kabale Sub-county Boss Accused of Defilement

Justus Tushabomwe is accused of defiling a 17 year old school girl

The Kabale Chief Magistrate’s court on Monday has ordered for a DNA test to be conducted on the former Rwamucucu sub-county LC3 Chairman Justus Tushabomwe and the baby he allegedly produced with a 17 year old S3 student of Kihanga secondary school in Rukiga county Kabale district.

The order was given by Moses Samuel Kagoda Ntende, buy the Kabale chief magistrate after Tushabomwe himself through his lawyer Patrick Katabazi Kiconco requested for the DNA test to determine if he is the baby’s father.

Chief Magistrate Ntende ordered the suspect to meet all the expenses of the test which will be conducted at the Wandegeya Government Laboratory under the supervision of a police officer and the Kabale District Probation officer, store and the results will be read before court on 5th December 2016, mind which will be also the ruling day.

Tushabomwe is accused of defiling and impregnating Mercy Akandwanaho on 17thSeptember 2015, while at the Rwamucucu headquarters.

Prosecution alleges that the politician invited the girl while she was returning from school to his office, and asked her to deliver a few things to her school, only to force himself on her once she entered the office.
