Court Orders Desh to Start Defense in Murder Case

High Court Judge Justice Joseph Murangira has ordered city socialite and Rally Driver Desh Kananura who is accused alongside four others of murdering his former employee Badru Kateregga to prepare their defense.

Kabahuma sought an adjournment on grounds that two of her colleagues in charge of this matter were out of office.

She said she was instructed by Senior State Attorney Jane Akuo Kajuga and senior Principal state Attorney Alice Komuhangi to seek an adjournment, sale as they were at a colleague’s funeral in Masaka.

The trial judge adjourned the matter to tomorrow for the accused persons to start off with their defense.

Prosecution alleges that Kananura and four others including his brother Raymond Kananura, Nzoreba Samuel, Onyango Jacob and Maganda Sirus in September 2012 while at Panamera Bar Naguru  Kampala suburbs, tortured and murdered Badrul Kateregga a bar attendant at Panamera Bar.
