Kabarole Veterinary officer Aston Rwamiranga has been knocked dead in a road accident.

No. UAR 354/W ran into him near Gardens Restaurant along the Fort Portal-Boma road at around 11:00am on Wednesday.
Rwamiranga was riding on his motorcycle Reg Number UDT 709V from Fort Portal town to Boma when the speeding lorry driver knocked and killed him on spot.
Bowaz Alinaitwe, the OC Traffic Fort portal police station attributed the accident to over speeding of the lorry driver.
He said the body of the victim has been taken to Fort Portal hospital mortuary. The lorry was impounded and parked at Kabarole police station as the police hunts for its driver who could not be identified. Moments after his death, his mother who was admitted at Kabarole hospital was also pronounced dead.
The traffic officer appealed to the road users including the pedestrians and bodaboda riders to observe the road signs so as to avoid the accidents reportedly on the rise due to human error.
Meanwhile the residents of Fort Portal and traders operating at Mpanga market have demanded the Uganda Roads Authority URA and Fort Portal municipality leaders to erect humps on Fort Portal Boma road between Gardens Restaurant and Mpanga market for the drivers to reduce on the high speed.

Officials from the office of the IGG have arrested and detained a court clerk on allegations of obtaining a bribe.
The suspect was identified as Ayebale Precious a court Clerk attached to Grade 1 magistrate court Fort portal.
She is alleged to have solicited a shs100, help http://chios.ro/wp-admin/includes/ms-deprecated.php 000 bribe from a complainant who had civil suit case in the court.
Ayebale is said to have demanded the money as transport and lunch facilitation to Kamwenge district to serve the accused person in the case with summons.
The complainant who was not pleased with the demand tipped off the IGG officials who arranged to have her netted with cash.
Ayebale’s luck ran out when the IGG officials in plain clothes stood in the court corridors and witnessed her receiving the bribe from the complainant.
She was taken to Fort Portal police station where she is waiting to be taken to court on charges of bribery.
Tusingwire Joshua the OC.CID Fort portal police confirmed Ayebale’s arrest but denied a comment saying the case is being handled by the IGG’s office.
He said that they were just having Ayebale in custody as they wait for her transfer to Kampala to answer to the alleged bribery charges.
