Congo Brazzaville head coach, cheapest Pierre Lechantre has raised worries about injuries of his players ahead of the game against Uganda on Saturday at Mandela national stadium.

Lechantre confesses he comes into the game against the cranes with a depleted squad with some of the key player missing.

“Of course we are prepared for the game and in the right mentality for the game but we have been done a disservice with a few injuries, information pills ” said Lechantre.

“It kind of distorts your earlier plans but I believe we are ready and have the perfect replacements for those missing, ” he added.

Among the key players that will not feature for the Diables Rouges (Red Devils) is forward Thievy Bioufuma who plies his trade at French league one side Bastia.

The fast and dazzling forward picked up an injury last week and did not make the trip to Uganda.

Congo Brazzaville have suffered yet another setback with first choice goalkeeper Gildas Mougabi ruled out of the game on Saturday after picking an injury in training on Thursday at Nakivubo stadium.

According to Lechantre, the goalkeeper who plays for Congolese side Lamancha FC fell on a nail while in training at Nakivubo.

“It is absurd that we shall miss Mougabi after picking such a funny injury,” he said.

“I had never experienced that in my life but I’m shocked we were given such a dangerous facility for training,” added the French tactician.

The 66 year old Frenchman will now have to chose between Wolfrigon Mongodie and Pavelh Ndzila on who takes the number one spot.
