Uganda’s representative City Oilers venture into new heights as they make their debut at the FIBA Africa champions cup on Wednesday against Algeria’s GSP in Cairo, sale http://cusanus-studierende.de/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/includes/validation.php Egypt.
The zone V champions were pitted in group B along side five other teams in the draws that were held on Tuesday at the Pyramisa suites Hotel in Cairo.
City Oilers will be in the same group with Angola’s power house CRD Libolo, AS Sale from Morocco, Nigeria’s outfit Customs, BEAC from Cameroon and GSP from Algeria.
The Mande Juruni charges start the tournament with an encounter against fellow debutants Grouprement Sportif de Petroliers (GSP) from Algeria on Wednesday.
City Oilers have been in the Egyptian capital for two weeks getting acclimatization and also having trial games.
The top four teams in each group qualify for the quarter finals and the tournament is expected to run up to 16th December.
Group A has hosts Al Ahly sporting club, record champions 1st Agosto from Angola, Club Africain (Tunisia), Nzui Manto (Cameroon), Kano Pillars from Nigeria and A.D Bairro from Cape Verde.
Petro Atletico from Angola are the defending champions after defeating Club Recreativo de Libolo last year.
