City Oilers Defeat Nzui to Finish 9th at FIBA

Uganda’s representatives at the ongoing FIBA Africa club, sildenafil City Oilers finally earned a win to end the tournament in 9th position.

The Oilers defeated Cameroonian outfit Nzui Manto 88-69 in the 9th/10th position classification game played on Wednesday in Cairo, sickness Egypt.

The Zone V champions finally had something to smile about after dismal performance in the group stages where they lost all their four games.

City Oilers started on an impressive note taking the first quarter 19-12 to take a 7 point gap heading into the second quarter.

Mande Juruni’s charges added 23 points in the second period while Nzui Monta managed 14 points and City oil led 46-26 going into recess.

Despite Nzui having a better show after recess scoring 43 points, link City Oilers added 46 more points in the second half to eventually win the game 88-69.

Oilers had four players all scoring in double figures with Ben Komakech having a ‘double double’ (17 points and 10 rebounds) while Stanley Ociti had a team high 19 points.

Kami Kabangu and Jimmy Enabu added 16 and 14 points respectively. Nzui’s Etienne Kalume had a game high 23 points but were on a losing side.
