Chinese Firms Honor Ugandan Employees

Up to 30 Ugandans Employees were honored for their hard work by their Chinese employers

China Enterprise Chamber of Commerce in Uganda at the weekend honored 30 excellent Uganda workers working on their firms for their outstanding roles and dedication to their work.

This was carried out in a special event hosted at China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) Headquarters at Sekiwunga Hill, salve http://chakraboosters.com/wp-admin/includes/bookmark.php Kitende.

The maiden event by China Enterprises Chamber Of Commerce in conjunction with Chinese Enterprises of Uganda was aimed at recognize the most hardworking, approved disciplined and diligent Ugandan employees.

Mr. Lu Jing, President of CCCC and Chairman of the China Enterprises Chamber of commerce revealed that since 2009 Chinese ventures in the country have realized tremendous growth as well as widened the employment scope for Ugandans with over 2,185 Ugandans directly employed in the different sectors with the initiation of 80 companies.

China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce is a platform where Chinese interact with each other and get to learn the local culture.

Hon. Kamanda Bataringaya, the State Minister for Labor industrial relations and employment noted at the event that the initiative will enhance excellence for Ugandans at their place of work as he applauded those awarded for being good ambassadors at their work place.

The Chinese Ambassador to Uganda H.E Zhao Yali commended the government and people of Uganda for providing a peaceful environment for Chinese companies.

Zhao acknowledged the drastic change of Uganda’s social economic development process, thanks to the long standing peace that has created an enabling environment for all sorts of business to strive in the country.

“Chines firms like Huawei and China Communication Construction Company (CCCC) have contributed over two hundred and four million dollars in taxes to Ugandan government” Zhao said.

Hon John Byanagambi, the Minister for Works and Transport who presided over the function as the guest of honour commended all the Chinese companies for their outstanding contribution and encouraging local employees to work hard.

“Many people would look at material gains but to be recognized is one thing you can never take away because it lasts forever” he said.
