Uganda premier league leaders KCCA FC has issued a statement in the progress of coach Sam Ssimbwa’s case in which he was allegedly recorded on an audio clip while uttering statements about his personal misconduct in matches.
KCCA FC had earlier on requested the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) to conduct investigations into the allegations and authenticity of the recording.

KCCA FC had opted to resolve the matter internally but later admitted that, healing “We (KCCA FC) had committed to have this process concluded by the 31st of January 2016 on the understanding that the investigations would be conducted internally, which is no longer the case. We now wait for the committee to conclude the process and advise us.
“In the meantime, Mr. Simbwa Bamweyana Sam shall remain suspended from work until the
investigations are complete.”
According to the audio recording, a voice that is similar to that of Ssimbwa is overheard telling a group of people that ‘he’ pays match officials to influence football games to KCCA FC’s favor.

Ssonko is the first assistant to Kenya’s Davis Omweno who is in charge of the game. Petrousse Hensley from Seychelles will act as the second assistant while the fourth official will be Moroccan Nourdin El Jafaary.
DR Congo narrowly cruised past Rwanda 2-1 in the last eight while Guinea had a 5-4 advantage against Chipolopolo of Zambia after post match penalties. The game played to a barren draw after 120 minutes.
The other Semi final is a West African affair pitting Ivory Coast against Mali. Both games will be played in Kigali.
