Rwanda Women football team has kick started residential training ahead of the maiden Cecafa Women Championship scheduled for September 11-20 at the Fufa Technical centre in Njeru.
The team held training sessions since Monday and will finish up on Friday before travelling ahead of the two-week finals.
Head coach Grace Nyinawumuntu called up About 26 ladies and is expected to trim the squad to 20 by Friday evening. They’re currently residing at the La Palisse Hotel in Kigali.
Coach Nyinawumuntu is assisted by Musanze FC coach Sosthene Habimana and goalkeeper’s coach Maniraguha Jean Claude.
The Rwandans are pooled in group B alongside Tanzania and Ethiopia. Their first game is on September 12th against Tanzania and Ethiopia two days later.
Best two teams from each group qualify for the semifinals respectively.
