CECAFA W: Kenya Starlets Cruise to Semis Unscathed

Kenya beat Zanzibar 11-0

Kenya’s Harambee starlets completed their CECAFA group games with a bang by hammering Zanzibar 11-0 in a one way traffic match played on Thursday.

Coach David Ouma made eight changes from the squad that featured in the first and second games against Uganda and Rwanda.

Christine Nafula started the rout fourteen minutes into the game completing Ambogo Mwikali’s low cross.

Nafula was on target in the 32nd and 69th minute respectively to seal her hattrick of the day.

Vivian Odhiambo Corazon also registered three goals all flowing late in the second half inside ten minutes from the 79th.

Kenya qualify for semi as group A leaders and will await the weaker side between Tanzania and Ethiopia.

The semifinals will be played on Sunday and the finals on Tuesday 20th.
