While meeting members of the Poor NRM Youth at his home in Kololo, Mbabazi said the party leaders had no powers to send away any member from the party.

“Unless the party through a court procedure dismisses you, no member can be forced out of the NRM party. In fact there are grounds in the constitution through which you can be forced out of the party,” the former NRM Secretary General told journalists.

Mbabazi was in December last year deposed as the ruling NRM Secretary General at an extraordinary General Meeting at Namboole.
