Hearing of the case before Buganda Road court against Swaibu Nsamba Gwojologa, a Forum for Democratic Change politician accused of offensive communication, didn’t take place today due to the absence of the trial magistrate.

Swaibu Nsamba is said to have posted on his Facebook wall that he was happy to announce and mourn the death of President Yoweri Museveni when he dies. The post was accompanied with a Photoshop of Museveni and how would look after his death.

The trial magistrate in this matter Gladys Kamasanyu however, was attending to other judicial duties today, and fellow magistrate Joan Aciro adjourned the matter to 25thJanuary for hearing.

Early last week Nsamba was released on bail from Luzira where he was remanded on 9thDecember last year after presenting to court sureties and exceptional circumstances warranting him to be released on bail

Prosecution alleges that between 8th September and 26th October, Nsamba posted offensive communication on Facebook with intent to disturb the peace of the president. It further alleges that Nsamba defamed the person of the president with the same Facebook post.
