KCCA Football Club bowed out of the Total CAF champions league conceding a late goal in the game played at Phillip Omondi stadium on Saturday.
Despite Geoffrey Sserunkuma putting KCCA FC ahead in the first half, pharmacy http://cidem.ec/components/com_kunena/template/ja_platon/html/display.php second half substitute Anthony Laffor levelled matters with nine minutes to time to dampen the hearts of fans that had turned up in big numbers.
KCCA FC showed no respect for the defending champions attacking right from onset making several attempts.
As early as the second minute, approved KCCA FC had a free kick outside the area but Sundowns were able go clear out of danger.
Five minutes later, Mucureezi Paul headed wide Joseph Ochaya’s cross unmarked inside the area.
The visitors were forced to make an early change with defender Wayne Arendse stretched off in the 13th minute and was replaced by Bangaly Soumahoro.
KCCA goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan was tested by Yannick Zakri but the shot stopper parried the ball away.
Sundowns has another attempt with skipper testing Ochan who had moved off the line but the latter tapped the ball off.
Three minutes to the half hour mark Bangaly Soumahoro headed home but his effort was ruled for offside.
It was Geoffrey Sserunkuma who tapped home Majwega’s cross in the 31st minute to break the deadlock and give the hosts an halftime lead.
The second half was all about the visitors who kept pilling pressure on KCCA with Pitso Mosimane opting for changes bringing on Anthony Laffor and Mashaba Nzikayise for Anele Ngcongca and Tiyani Mabunda respectively.
Laffor levelled matters in the 81st minute hitting the ball into the roof of the net.
A cross from Tebogo Langerman was first tipped away by Benjamin Ochan but landed into Laffor’s path who faked off Okot Dennis before firing home.
The result means Mamelodi Sundowns advance to the group stages 3-2 on aggregate while KCCA FC now drop to Total Confederation cup where they will play at the second round.
