Burundi Dialogue to Resume on Saturday

The office of the Facilitator of the Inter-Burundi Dialogue has said that they are set to resume the dialogue starting on Saturday.

This comes following the announcement by the former President of the Republic of Tanzania, information pills http://daniellebinks.com/wp-includes/class-wp-roles.php H.E. Benjamin William Mkapa, try who was appointed by the Summit of the East African Community in Arusha as the facilitator.

According to a statement released on Friday, Mkapa confirmed that the dialogue will take place from Saturday May 21st to Tuesday May 24th at the Arusha International Conference Centre.

“Preparations for the dialogue are all in their different advanced stages of their completion. Invitations to the Government of Burundi, Former Presidents of Burundi, Political Parties, Civil Society Organization, Religious Groups and some selected important political actors have all gone. So far the Office of the Facilitator has received confirmations for participations from over 63 entities,” the statement read in part.

“Delegates are expected to start arriving by today (Friday), and the majority will arrive tomorrow ready for the opening ceremony scheduled for Saturday, May 21st from 10am to 12 noon,” the statement further read.

The opening ceremony will be attended by the Executive Secretary of the International Conference on Great Lakes Region (ICGLR), Special Envoys from the USA, Belgium, UK, EU, AU, UN; some Ambassadors and High Commissioners accredited to Tanzania.

The Dialogue is expected to conclude on Wednesday, May 25th, 2016 with the decision being reached on the agenda, venue and participation to the next dialogue.
