Citing an example of Kaduuku hill palace construction which has stalled, Lukumu said some politicians blocked the project but assured the subjects that the kingdom would petition the president seeking for his intervention in the matter. He insists that the plan still stands to have the palace constructed.

In July this year, three workers, a tractor operator and his two support staff were arrested after they were found clearing the forest to pave way for the palace construction in Kiryandongo district.
