The High Court in Kampala has nullified the election of Luwero Woman MP NRM’s Lillian Nakatte for non-compliance of the Electoral laws and bribing of voters.
Justice David Batema faulted the Electoral Commission for failing to oversee the election in Luweero district after giving a chance to hooligans to chase presiding officers and usurp their powers at various polling stations.

Justice Batema has now ordered the Electoral commission to organize fresh elections filling the vacancy of Luweero district woman representative in parliament and also ordered Nakatte to pay Brenda Nabukenya costs of this petition.
The Electoral commission declared NRM ‘s Eng Lilia Nakatte winner of the February Parliamentary elections which DP’s Brenda Nabukenya opposed and rushed to Highcourt seeking for orders to overturn Nakatte’s victory.
