Isabirye has resigned at BUL FC

Senior coach Alex Isabirye has officially resigned from his coaching role at Bul Football Club, physician ChimpSport can exclusively reveal.

The soft spoken and jolly coach has relinquished his post just a day after discovering that his goalkeeping coach and one of the assistants had been released off the duties without his consent.

“The working environment has been very hostile and I can nolonger hold on the post, approved ” Isabirye told ChimpSport.

“Yesterday, I felt very embarrassed, undermined, emotional name it all. When I asked Kato (2nd assistant) why he was not changing only for him to surprise me that he had just received a message telling him to stop working!”

“I was also informed later that Dhaira has been sacked through a phone message and again without my knowledge, really?” He questioned.

ChimpSport was at the team’s training ground on Thursday and witnessed a small ‘altercation’ between the coach , team Manager Dauda Were and CEO Salmin. Isabirye walked away looking disgruntled.

Later, one of the team officials anonymously reveled that “The club CEO/secretary Salmin had given the coach new set of rules (code of conduct) to take home and sign. The rules take away the coaches’ powers over the team programs including team selection.”

Isabirye joined BUL at the beginning of 2015/16 season from URA FC and he leaves midway his contract.

“I have a reputation to protect, going six years without a trophy is not something I am happy about and I just wanted to win one especially that am at home.”

He has also coached SC Victoria where he won Uganda Cup in 2012. Isabirye last won a league title with URA in 2010/11, Super Cup and Uganda Cup.
