Breaking: Alex Isabirye Resigns as Jinja SS Coach

Kirinya Jinja SS FC head coach Alex Isabirye has parted ways with the club on mutual understanding, advice ChimpSport exclusively reports.

The soft spoken coach, clinic also an old boy at the school, has reached the decision following a poor run of results that has seen the club draw nine matches out of 14.

“I have decided to resign my position as head coach of the team (Kirinya),” he revealed to this website before tendering his resignation. “It’s really a tough one, but its for the good of the club”

“The results aren’t desirable despite all the endless efforts I have put to try and rectify the situation. The team is playing very well, dominating games but still the ball doesnt cross the line when we so need them.”

Isabirye joined Kirinya Jinja SS from rivals BUL FC on Monday 15th August and has stayed about 113 days at the helm. He was assisted by Abbey Kikomeko a Caf C license holder.

“I love the team and if they require any assistance from me apart from the current subject (Head coach), I am ready to help.”

The team drew one all with Lweza FC at Bugembe in a match the hosts controlled and created tonnes of chances.

Moses Ndawula scored for the visitors in the 85th minute while substitute Godfrey Mubiru rescued the point for Kirinya with a last minute strike.

Isabirye hinted quiting the team after the match.
