Botladz, Zoe are Inaugural Woodball League Champions

Botladz men's team were crowned champions

Botladz and Zoe Woodball clubs were crowned the champions of the inaugural Woodball league in the men’s and ladies respectively.

Botladz who have controlled the lead for a longer stretch entered the final day in need of two wins and they did just that by overcoming Zoe and St Joseph’s both by 2-1.

St. Joseph’s institute Kisubi were the closest challengers but ended as runner ups with 39 points. St. Joseph defeated KIU 2-1 with 13 fairways won before crushing to the league winners.

Kisubi corporates finished third after accumulating 38 points, order just one behind St. Joseph’s.

Zoe won the ladies league thanks to KIU who didn’t turn up meaning they got free points and 21 fairways won.

Lilly also benefitted free points from KIU but faced hard time to beat Botladz ladies with a big margin struggling to a 2-1 victory.

Both teams hit the 29 points mark but Zoe emerged champions with a superior fairways won, website like this 202 to lily’s 189.

Raymond Ssemata and Mary Athieno were both crowned the Most Valuable Players in the respective categories.
