A total of 1350 students are set to graduate in bachelors, diplomas, postgraduate diploma and masters degrees at Bishop Stuart University in Kakoba Mbarara municipality.
According to the university Vice Chancellor Prof. Mauda Kamatenesi, 18 students will graduate in masters, 122 with postgraduate diplomas, 900 with bachelors and over 300 with diplomas.
The graduation is slated to take place at Kakoba Riverside grounds on Friday 13th October 2017 and the guest of honor will be Prof. Philip G. Laird from Trinity University of Canada.
The vice chancellor noted that this graduation will be characterized of different activities including tomorrow’s commissioning of grandaunts to orient them in the new world of job competition they are going to join soon.
“Grandaunts will assemble at the chapel be given a motivational talk and be commissioned to go and change the world,” she said.
The session will be led by the commissioner from the Ministry of Education Mrs. Nzamukunda Loy.
There will also be a public lecture under the theme “Partnership and Innovativeness in Building a Christian University at Lake View resort Hotel meant to share the challenges that are in the education.
