Bishop Naimanhye Urges Christians to Support New Diocese

The Bishop of Busoga Diocese Rt Rev Paul Samson Moses Naimanhye has said he is happy to hand over Christians in the new central Busoga diocese to their inaugural Bishop without any complaint or bickering.

Naimanhye says it will be very wrong for anybody to falsely accuse him because he has fully supported and championed the transition process ever since he took up the diocesan leadership on 24th January this year.

because I had to successfully complete the project that was started by my predecessor Dr. Kyomya” he said

Speaking at the installation of Venn Rev Patrick Mugaya Naguyo as the inaugural archdeacon of the new archdeaconry of Ivukula carved from Namutumba archdeaconry in Namutumba district, page Bishop Naimanhye challenged Christians to support and cooperate with their leaders for ministry to move smoothly

“Though mobilizing resources has been hectic, we have been able to work together as clergy and the laity to reach this far; indeed, I will take a week long holiday outside Busoga region after the consecration of the inaugural bishop of central Busoga because now my heart is at peace” the prelate added.

“I only pray that even after establishment of the second diocese we remain united as Busoga without looking at our different Dioceses we belong to and I will personally keep visiting this area through my
brother the Bishop to monitor progress of the various activities in church” he noted.

At the function, the State Minister for Lands, persis Namuganza delivered a contribution of Ushs 5million from the president towards the development of Ivukula archdeaconry and also pledged to ask the president for a vehicle.
