Ngabi Nsamba clan football team knocked out Nyonyi Nyange Clan in the shootout penalties at Muteesa II Stadium at Wankulukuku.

In an intensive tricky game played on a water logged pitch after a heavy downpour, the full 90 minutes ended goalless with fewer chances created at both sides.

The referee decided to send the game into shootouts after the 90 minutes ended goalless, denying the teams a chance to separate themselves via Extra time.

In the shootouts, Kyambadde Godfrey and Mulangira Yiga failed to convert their spot-kicks for Nyonyi and Ngabi respectively as the first five penalty scores from both sides ended tied at 4-4.

Nyonyi’s Joseph Zziwa fluffed his kick before Allan Bukenya converted his penalty to give Ngabi a 5-4 penalty shootout victory.
