Kirinya Jinja SS have resumed their premier league promotion quest in style following an emphatic 3-0 victory over Kireka united at the Jinja SSS grounds.
The hosts put up pressure from the first whistle and their efforts yielded four minutes later. speedy winger Mark Bakumakye switched well from the right flank then interchanged well with Mayanja and Madondo before releasing a powerful shot which Tezigwa blocked.
Joel Madondo headed in the rebound leaving the keeper stranded on the ground.
Madondo missed another glorius chance to double the lead from Mayanja’s good work past Kireka’s centre backs. The recipient looped Kireka’s keeper only for the ball to drop on the outside of the right post.
three minutes later Bakumakye sent in a beautiful in-swinger from the upper left wing which Tezigwa failed to handle firmly dropping it in his own net to give the Jinja side a lead into the break.
Kenrogers Tezigwa was once again in the receiving end for carelessly contributing to Jamal Kimera’s third goal for the hosts. The keeper moved out to clear an advancing ball outside the box which he feebly hit allowing Madondo to pick rounding him off and crossed to Kasonko on the opposite flank. Kasonko set up Kimera who fired in a low shot.
Tezigwa tried to punch away but the referee’s assistant ruled that the ball had crossed the line.
