The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) former presidential candidate Col Kiiza Besigye has pledged to fund the construction of a Catholic Church Shrine in Siyon Village Rutete sub-county Kagadi District.
Besigye who accused the current government of neglecting such resourceful sectors told a congregation that he and his party FDC party will partner with various companies to construct a church at Siyon pilgrimage site.
Besigye who was in Kagadi District for two days campaigning for FDC flag bearers made the remarks while attending prayers on Monday.
He said was disappointed by government for disregarding productive sector like tourism.
