Beach Soccer: YMCA, St. Lawrence Hit Summit after Match Two


YMCA and St. Lawrence put up a good show on match day two to go top of the Hurikken and Monsoon groups in the Pepsi national beach soccer league.

Suleiman Ochero and John Lubwama both struck twice to add on Emmanuel Kalyowa and Saleh Kigundu as St. Lawrence thrashed former finalists Stoners 6-0, approved

YMCA survived Nkumba Select’s comeback to win 4-3 in a right entertaining seven goal thrilling action. The win pushes the collegers to six points as fellow scholars KIU who benefited freebies after Real Galactica’s arrived late.

Buwanika Bulls also failed to turn up for their game against IUEA thus dishing out a walkover.

“Galactical vs KIU and IUEA vs Buwanika Bulls were Walk Overs. Galactical arrived late for their fixture while Buwanika Bulls didn’t show up for their game. We  strongly call upon teams to respect the fixture time in order to avoid these forfeitures, no rx ” UBSA noted in a statement.

Dalumba International’s John Kokas Opejo was undoubtedly the man of the weekend with a double hat trick as the money bags hit Talented 7-4.

The games return next weekend on Saturday 2nd October.
