Stomers' players undergo inspection before the games kicked off

Hurriken group leaders YMCA resumed their quest to crown the 2017 Pepsi national beach soccer champions by defeating MUBS 9-6 in a thrilling and explosive encounter on Sunday.

Ashadu Bugembe fired five times as Muwawu Faizal, dosage Allan Zirimenya and Hamim Semakula added their names on the score sheet.

Still in Hurriken group, Roch Somoka was twice on target as defending champions Nkumba Select roved past Muteesa 1 Royal University Jessy Lukoki and Rica Byaruhanga also scored in the 4-1 win.

St. Lawrence extended their unbeaten streak to seven games with a 8-3 win over Real Galacticos.
The scholars went into the midseason break on top of the Monsoon table leading with 18 points, five ahead of KIU.

In the other game played, Stomers pilled more pressure on MS Sand Lions with a 3-1 result. The lions have won only one game since their promotion at the start of the season.
