Badminton: Ekiring Picks Silver in Morocco

African badminton number one seed, discount Edwin Ekiring settled for the second place in the just concluded 2015 Morocco Badminton International Championship after losing 14-21 and 11-21 to 25-year old Portuguese Pedro Martins.

Ekiring who entered the championship as the top seed strolled to the finals after seeing of Egyptian Ali Ahmed EL Khateeb 21-15, 21-15 in the last eight and American Bjorn Seguin in the semis.

“The tournament was good generally though i lost in the Finals to Pedro Martins Of Portugal in 2 sets of 14-21 And 11-21.  Not very good news  like i hoped. I Tried but he was much better,” Ekiring told ChimpSport after the game.

Ekiring returns to action on Tuesday 27th October against Danish veteran Hans-Kristian Vittinghus in the  Bitburger open in Saarbrucken, Germany.
