Lweza football club had themselves to blame after squandering several chances as they played to a stalemate against Proline.

Playing under interim coach Fred Kalanzi following departure of Ibrahim Kirya, approved Lweza were the better side for the better part of the game but lacked the cutting edge to put away the several chances created.

Charles Ssempa tested Proline’s goalkeeper Saidi Keni inside the opening minute of the game but the shot stopper parried the ball away for a corner.

The hosts who were rampant had another chance in the 12th minute but Brian Mayanja failed to put the ball past onrushing goalkeeper Keni.

Veteran midfielder Jeremiah Ssebuyira had another chance to put Lweza ahead at the half-hour mark after dribbling past Yusuf Mukisa but his feeble shot was easily collected by the goalkeeper.

It was the case even after recess with substitute Hassan Kikoyo also joining the list squandering scoring chances.

The result means Lweza drop to 13th position on 21 points, capsule just one above the drop zone while Proline ascend to 6th on 27 points.
