The controversial manager joined Soana at the start of the season replacing Charles Ayieko and he won his first game in charge beating the saints 3-1.

Veteran playmaker Khamada “Ndiefi” Ssebagala struck twice to help Ssimbwa’s side get a comeback win against the Saints.

Besides Ssimbwa, treatment Soana has several players that have formerly featured for the defending champions and will be seeking to hurt their former masters. Francis Olaki, Ayub Kiiza, Khamada Ssebagala and Steven Bengo among others.

KCCA on the other hand remain the only side with a perfect start winning their two opening games with their previous game coming against Lweza.

Mike Mutebi welcomes back five players from the Uganda cranes team. Sharp shooter Geoffrey Sserunkuma, Joseph Ochaya, Vincent Kayizzi, Benjamin Ochan and Ivan Ntege all return from the cranes squad that defeated Comoros 1-0 on Sunday.

However,the defending champions will be without utility player Lawrance Kasadha who picked up an injury and joins Hassan Wasswa Dazo and Jackson Nunda who are also out injured.

Head to head

The two sides have met six times in the league with KCCA win on three occasions while Soana  have won twice and one game ending in a draw.

The last meeting between the two sides ended in a 2-0 win for KCCA with Ceasar Okhuti netting a brace.
