AUPL: Ssentongo Bottles BUL with a Brace in KCCA Debut

KCCA FC celebrating a previous goal

Robert Ssentongo provided a star appeal in his debut for KCCA FC against BUL FC netting a brace inside a five minute interval to gift KCCA FC precious three points away at Kakindu stadium in Jinja on Saturday.

The four-time top scorer made his presence felt with his first touch on the pitch calming down Joseph Ochaya’s cross then turned and shot directly to Paul Mujampani.

The match was slowed down by the muddy pitch following a heavy downpour during the early hours which extended a chilly weather and persisting drizzles in the better part of first half.

The champions camped on their hosts half and that culminated into a quick move through Mutyaba who crossed to Majwega down the left lane. Majwega kept it low from the near angle for Ssentongo to tap in.

Ssentongo was back again with the second goal just six minutes later with a left foot shot which Mujampani failed to tame. Majwega had provided the assist.

Muzamir Mutyaba ensured the business is closed in the 33rd after blasting the ball into an empty net. Paul Mucureezi had raced through to find Mutyaba’s pass but his shot was blocked and fell back to play finding Mutyaba holidaying inside the box.

Bul FC were forced to make a late first half change after keeper Mujampani collided on the post while trying to save Ochaya’s blockbuster.

Militon Kalisa pulled one back for the Jinja side in the 86th smashing in a loose ball inside a messy crowded box.

The win takes KCCA FC to fifteen points from five wins while Bul stagnate on five points.
