Soana Fc have picked their first ever win at Bugembe stadium following their 2-1 victory over their hosts Sadolin Paints in a tightly contested match characterized with physical tackles.
Soana surprised their hosts with two goals in succession in the first and fourth minutes from Simon Okwi and Musa Eseru.
Willy Kavuma picked the ball from his half and raced in the right wing beating his marker Nasser Nsubuga before releasing a low cross that eluded both Sadolin center backs finding Okwi in a free zone. The former Bul FC striker calmly slotted past an advancing Umar Mayanja to the bottom right corner to break the deadlock.
Sadolin defense failed to pick the pieces allowing an in swinger to drop in the danger zone which Mayanja punched off. Kayiwa swung the resulting corner that Eseru headed in after just a three minute interval from the first.
The painters resurrected their attack coming close thrice with Luzige and Ogik missing by chance.
The stadium went silent a minute to the breather when Simon Okwi and Umar Mayanja collided in a 50-50 challenge. The Sadolin keeper failed to pick up from the collision forcing his fellow teammates and doctors to race to his rescue after he momentarily lost his consciousness. The keeper was given first aid for nearly quarter an hour before Sadolin was forced to rush him to hospital for further check up after falling again.
