AUPL: Sigh Of Relief for Proline as Ssenkatuka Sinks Kirinya

Proline 1-0 Kirinya Jinja SS

After going six consecutive games without testing victory, cost Proline finally got a relieving win against Kirinya Jinja SS in the game played on Tuesday at Phillip Omondi stadium.

Nelson Ssenkatuka scored the all important goal for Proline to register their second win this season and put a halt to the poor record against Kirinya Jinja SS.

Proline had failed to earn victory in the previous four attempts with the school side winning on three occasions and the other encounter ending in a 2 all draw.

Kirinya who came into the game without head coach Alex Isabirye after resigning on Monday evening were condemned to their fifth loss in the season and yet to register a win.

Despite making several attempts in the first half, price Proline failed to breakdown the visitor’s defence in the opening 45 minutes and the two sides returned to the tunnel for the break goalless.

The deciding moment came eight minutes after recess with Nelson Ssenkatuka finishing from close range.

Ssenkatuka got onto a well executed defence splitting pass from captain of the day Gift Ali on the far end to tap home.

The result means Proline move one place up to 12th on 15 points while Kirinya Jinja SS remain second from bottom on nine points.
