AUPL: Sigh of Relief for Mubiru as Vipers Return to Winning Ways

Erisa Ssekisambu’s solitary strike was enough was enough to ensure Vipers returned to winning ways after going two games without testing victory.

Abdallah Mubiru, ask http://chienyenthinh.com/includes/framework.php the Vipers head coach started with an all attack minded team with Erisa Ssekisambu and Tonny Odur who was returning from injury leading the attack.

New recruit Hassan Wasswa was also handed his debut at Vipers playing in the holding midfield while Deus Bukenya filled the void left by injured Halid Lwaliwa in the centre back.

After an explosive start that saw the visitors squander several chances, Ssekisambu got the breakthrough in the 31st minute after a layup from Tony Odur  released him to slot past Lweza goalie Brian Bweete.

The Orange brigade almost levelled matters inside the opening minute after the interval but Karim Nduggwa failed to find the target with his effort going wide.

Vipers had the chance to double the lead midway through the second half but Wadri William was denied by the goal post after going past Bweete.

The win brings relief to coach Abdallah Mubiru who had drawn against JMC Hippos and lost to Express last week.

The result means Vipers move to 3rd on 12 points six behind league leaders KCCA while Lweza dropped to 10th on eight points.
