AUPL: Shabena Cages Red Eagles To Earn JMC’s Maiden Win

Jinja Municipal Council (JMC) Hippos produced a stunning result as they trapped Express FC to earn their first victory of the season in a brawny affair played at Kakindu on Friday.

Daniel Shabena capped his excellent afternoon with a superb goal in the 28th minute to gift the relegation threatened side a 1-0 win.

Shabena pounced on the ball inside a crowded 18 yard line and tapped below Emmanuel Opiyo’s left hand dive.

Vianne Sekajugo had earlier done the donkey work to drill through the left wing and slotted in for Moses Batali whose initial strike was blocked but left floating dangerously in the crowd.

The score should have been doubled, remedy http://daiviet.us/wp-admin/includes/class-walker-category-checklist.php but an earlier chance saw Batali’s tricky penalty rise to rattle the crossbar with Opiyo well beaten.

Batali nearly reclaimed himself in the 41st minute after a systematic inter switch with Sekajugo and Shabena left the midfielder exposed to goal before riffling a thunderous shot which was initially too strong for Opiyo but the keeper recovered and picked on the goal line.

JMC Hippos stagnate on the bottom of the log with seven points into the mid-season same fate to Express who remain seventh with 19 points at least until Saturday matches.
