Azam Uganda Premier League

Masavu FC 0-1 Kirinya Jinja SS

Kirinya Jinja SS Football Club earned a hard-fought victory on the road against new comers Masavu United.

After going two games (against BUL and Bright stars) without a win, the school side put up a resuscitated performance to edge Masavu FC in the game played at Bugonga Fisheries Institute on Tuesday.

Striker Faizo Muwawu scored the lone goal of the game four minutes after kick off to hand Kirinya Jinja SS their second win of the season.

Jinja SS came into this game with a seemingly depleted squad missing several key players. Goalkeeper Thomas Ikara is out with a shoulder injury while Ibrahim Kayiwa was also ruled out.

However this did not stop them from overcoming Masavu Football Club at their home in Entebbe.

The result sends Kirinya Jinja SS to second position on eight points while Masavu drop to the bottom of the table on three points.
