Soana 2-2 Lweza

Soana were held to a 2-2 draw by Lweza in a thrilling game played on Friday at Kavumba Recreation Centre ground in Wakiso.

Kalyowa converted from a free kick after a foul on Willy Kavuma outside the area by Patrick Ssembuya to give the hosts a deserved lead.

Soana kept pressing for the winner but Lweza fell back to settle for a point until centre referee Aisha Ssemambo called for the final whistle.

Ssimbwa,the Soana coach indicated they defended poorly and allowed the opponents to score with ease.

“We dominated them for longer spells but I think the defence let us down today. we conceded two simple goals,” said Ssimbwa after the game.

The result means Soana drops from third to fourth on 17 points while Lweza climb two slots to ninth position dispensing Proline and The Saints, all on 12 points but with a better goal difference.
